Nov 5-6 Good Agriculture and Collection Practices Training

October 25, 2012

Good Agriculture and Collection Practices Training in Lytton November 5 & 6th.
The Good Agricultural and Collection Practices (GACP) training is a food safety  and quality assurance training program that is approved as an On Farm Food Safety Program. This food safety program is based on principles of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP). What makes the GACP program unique is that it is the only HACCP program approved by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Health Canada that includes both cultivated and wild harvested products as well as ethical practices. The training teaches risk assessments and other components needed for a small scale development of a food safety quality assurance program for both cultivated and wild harvested products.
